a while now iv been getting head tightness/aching/burning/pins and needles sensations. all to the left side of my head on the scalp area. local doctors think migraine. 
only recently started feeling a cold wet sensation (same side). 
neck aches too?

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without taking additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor and discuss if you may be depressed. Counter-intuitive as it may seem, exercise may help. Start with low intensity exercise such as walking and gradually increase the intensity as tolerated.  Wish you good health!

Does it itch?: If your scalp itches, you may have seborrheic dermatitis (a dermatologist can tell you if you do, and give you treatment for it). Twirling hair is a habit, as you said -- not the worst habit in the world, but if bothers you, try cutting your hair short enough that you can't twirl it.

what happens if you get zits around your hairline due to excess oil and sweat, why don't you get them on your scalp, in your hair?

Forehead acne: You can get "zits" in your scalp but it is more common on the forehead near the hairline for several reasons. One is thinness of forehead skin compared to scalp. Two is composition of glands both seat and sebaceous. Third is hormonal effects. Finally sun exposure or lack there of can play a role. Hope this helps and keep washing with a mild cleanser twice a day.

why does my hair rarely grow on the left front hairline and my scalp is translucent? in this case, the right side is thick!!! is it androgenic alopecia?

Alopecia: Need to look at you and your family tree of baldness. The hair does not fall far from the tree in baldness usually.  ;-)discuss with your team.

can scalp psoriasis lead to a receding hairline and thinning hair?

Accepted Answer

Maybe..: But it's more likely that the thinning and receding is genetic and will happen regardless.  The psoriasis (which stresses the skin that supports hair growth) may cause patchy hair loss and make the genetic thinning worse, but usually doesn't cause a receding hairline by itself.

Accepted Answer

: It would be rather unusual for vitamin D to cause any hair loss, but would check serum levels to "clear the air".   Ideally you should be close to 50-70 ng/ml, and best not to be higher.  A dermatologist  should be consulted, regarding your scalp issues.

Betnovate is a steroid so my decrease inflammation from eczema psoriasis.

hello i had small pimple on my hairline about 2 weeks ago. now, pimple is longer there on my scalp, but i lost hair on that same spot  where i had pimple. is this hair loss  permanent?

See dermatologist: difficult to say until evaluated by dermatologist. Sometimes there is residual scarring with perm hair loss, but need doc to visualize to be sure.

is itching on scalp in one area only a symptom of skin cancer? can skin cancer develop underneath the hair and not just hairline? also is damaged skin with rash more vulnerable to uv light?

Need to examine: Skin cancer can develop anywhere, but it is less likely in an area covered by hair. If you have any doubt, see your doctor.

i'm 25, have good hairline but my hair is thin since i stopped exercising and became weak. so, due to thin hair, the scalp is visible about 1inch from the start of my hairline only when i comb my hair upwards. do i need hair transplant to solve this?

: That will not likely solve it. I recommend doing a family tree (male and female) of hair growth issue.

My patients get the best cosmetic results using a rug(wig) if desired/needed.
