Normal: Oily skin and hair are usually indicative of an abundance of androgenic hormones. These are the normal hormones that make your secondary sex characteristics male: hairiness, body odor, voice change, bone and muscle development and metabolism. The androgens work on the sebaceous glands of the skin and cause them to produce oil/sebum. More androgens= more oil. There may be a genetic predisposition.

occasionally i get an odd smell in my nose, like burning hair. had sinusitis recently, just finished z-pack. used nasal decongestants, expectorant. recently started on wellbutrin, and i read that phantom smells might be sign of a seizure disorder?

Smells: the most common reason would be a sinus infection. Not a sign of impending seizure.Check with an ENT expert.

it will not make you: If your hair is normally thin rogaine (minoxidil) will not make it thicker. It can also not be used during pregnancy.

Generally, recovery is spontaneous and occurs within 6 months.
