They are best seen-: -by a colonoscopy. A rectal also may be a first step, as you are young for a colonoscopy.

Not necessarily: The blood in your stool is probably from the hemorrhoids.  you may like to get a screening endoscopy to check for polyps and get biopsies from large or suspicious ones if you have any. Biopsies are to be examined by a pathologist who would determine if there is malignant growth.

Hemorroid: It is really important to try not to get hemorrhoids in the first place. Stay well hydrated (at least 8 - 8 ounces glasses of water per day). Try to get in 5 servings of vegetables and 4 servings of fruit per day – get that fiber in. Stay physically active if possible.  There are a number of over the counter laxatives that you can take  to help pass retained fecal matter.

Another way: Try 1% hydrocortisone cream once daily and Vaseline daily.  At least for 2-3 days, should help quite a bit,

Protrusion from anus: An external hemorrhoid will present as a purplish protrusion from the anus.  It may be very painful.  It can be the size of one's tumb or smaller.  Usually painful, it may be associated with itching, inability to clean one's self and cause general discomfort in the bottom.  Usually treated with warm sitz baths, tipical products like cottom balls soaked in witch hazel, preparation h, and the like.
