Infection: It sounds like either your infection did not clear with treatment or ther is another bacteria present. I would see your physician to get another smear taken to chek the diagnosis

Chlamydia: Chlamydia doesn&#x27;t usually cause urinary urgency in men. Since the pain with voiding is gone (and you have been over-treated -- 1 dose of azithromycin would have been enough), almost certainly the chlamydia is gone. In men, constant bladder awareness and frequent voiding often is the result of genitally focused anxiety. Probably not serious, but return to the doctor or clinic if it continues.

You should get tests: For other possible causes of urethritis or urinary infection. If you are not circumcised, it's possible that you may have local yeast overgrowth causing irritation. Especially since you were on medication that would not cure all potential causes of urethritis or all sexually transmitted infection, you may need more tests and treatment. Avoid sex until your doc says you're OK, and partner treated.

Pretty accurate: The newer urinary tests for chlamydia and gonorrhea use dna technology and are fairly accurate.

Not chlamydia per se: Chlamydia by itself is not likely to cause odor in the urine. About 25% of the people with chlamydia have another std as well. Please get tested and treated.

: No, chlamydia doesn't do this. Check with your doctor. If you're at risk for STDs, get checked for chlamydia, but not because of these symptoms.

UTI: There are many types of bacteria that can be in the urine.  A culture is the only method of determining the exact type.  Having bacteria and having chlamydia are not the same.  A patient  may have one, the other, or both.

I do not know the: Answer to this question.  Germs/ bacteria in the urethra can contaminate the urine.  However, I am not aware if bacteria in urine would transmit the disease to another person  who consumes the urine. Chlamydia can be transmitted through oral, anal or vaginal sex.
