i have h. pylori and for the past year im constipated or my stools are green or yellow and dark brown why?? should i be worried?

Constipation: H pylori should have little effect on your stool consistency. 
Functional constipation is very common, and consider increasing dietary sources of fiber (vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and nuts), as well as increasing water you drink throughout the day.  Sometimes a stool softener may help.  The color of stool you describe is quite normal.

go to get endoscopy wednesday i had h pylori which has since been eradicated i was put on protonix 40 mg twice daily i feel fine but have had yellow solid stools the whole time is that normal? also have minor bloating?

: What kind of endoscopy, upper or lower endoscopy. If H. pylori was eradicated, why are you still taking protonix at high dose? Do you have GERD? I do not think you will have colonoscopy because there is no indication for colonoscopy. Solid yellow stool is not grossly abnormal because stool color can become lighter when taking protonix.

Stool: The most accurate test is a biopsy of the stomach or duodenum .

Next best are the stool tests and urease breath tests. 

Worst is the blood.

Maybe: This could just be your body's reaction to the medication - most likely the antibiotic.  See your doc if you begin to have abdominal pain or see any bleeding.  Hope this helps!

No: Culture of the stool will not usually reveal H Pylori - the culture test can be done on biopsy samples from the stomach, especially the part called the antrum.

See your MD: Fat in stool suggests malabsorption, see your md for further evaluation and treatment.

is stool test effective in checking for h pylori again after it has been eradicated once? mine was eradicated few years ago but stool test is positive for it again.

Yes, but...: One has to follow the doctor's or the lab's instructions. The stool test looks for parts of the bacteria, which means a diluted sample such as a watery stool might get a negative test result even with some H. pylori bacteria present. That's why the lab doesn't want watery stool. After stomach symptoms are gone, and after waiting an amount of time instructed by one's doctor, the stool test is done.
