i am very skinny but i don't gain weight , doctor says it probably because i'm in a growth spurt right now and that's why my metabolism so fast but no matter how much i eat i just don't gain weight at all and sometimes lose weight. what can i do?

: If you eat well you should gain weight when you grow up although you still looks skinny. In case of unchanged weight or weight loss at your age without vigorous exercise, i.e. spending more calories than you get in with meals, medical problems such as hyperthyroidism or juvenile diabetes mellitus, etc. should be ruled out.

You : You are correct in thinking about a growth spurt. This is usually why a child will begin to eat much more than usual. A growth spurt may only result in his feet gowing or gaining a few inches in height. Don't expect to see a dramatic change. On the other hand, polyphagia(eating excessive amounts of food) can be an early sign of juvenille diabetes. The best thing to do is have your child evaluated by his pediatrician or primary care provider.

: Conventional wisdom states that if an obese male loses a substantial amount of weight ( such as 30 lbs) the penis size may actually  increase somewhat ( about 1 inch).  But you weren't very obese.  The penis will only appear smaller with significant weight gain but actually isn't smaller.   Worldwide,the average size of a nonerect penis is 3.6 inches; erect penis average size is 5.16 inche

PCOS and acne: First of all, depoprovera is probably the worst birth control for someone with pcos because it is very androgenic.  See if they can switch you to one called mircette (ethinyl estradiol and desogestrel).  The Progesterone in Mircette (ethinyl estradiol and desogestrel) is much more friendly and helps the acne and hirsutism (hair growth) that are so common with pcos.  In general noerithindrone-like progesterones are very androgenic (testosterone-like) and bad for pcos.

Burn calories: Swim, bicycle, abdominal crunches, find 300 calories a day you don;t need to eat e.g. Bread. If you eat meat, make it lean, take off the skin of chicken, no fried food, eat more fish and seafood, eat green and white veggies cooked with garlic and oil. Rice and beans(lentils and rice) are good sources of complex carbs.

Battle won at table: It is fine to exercise as part of a weight reduction plan.However, the most progress is made by realistic choices at the dinner table. A nine year old is best served by group activities such as soccer, scouts, hiking & similar outside activities; all that would keep a kid  busy & occupied. Nine year old kids get bored easily & i doubt any stair climber would  suit their needs.
