Can lose cells: Underdevelopment of the gray matter is something your born with and symptoms of what would be perceived as mental retardation at that age.  .  When it is acquired later in life, it is usually due to a degenerative process such as alzheimer's or other dementias.

Almost correct: The gray matter (nervous system tissue with cell bodies) is inside the cord, surrounded by white matter (axons: nerve fibers going to & from the brain). While there is gray matter on the surface of the brain, it is also present in collections deep inside the brain. The organization of the central nervous system is quite complex.

Analyze it.  Dig through the endless resources of the internet.  Challenge yourself with new ideas and examine your beliefs. Have intelligent conversations.  Intentionally vary your activity.  Get physical exercise.   Live fully!

Depends on image: Magnetic resonance imaging with and without gadolinium contrast shows hyperintensity depending on type of images, T1, T2, diffusing weighted or flair view.  Each type of image views can because by various ideologies, including ischemia, plaques, infection, growth, bleed.  Gray matter hyperintensity simply means changes seen based on the type of image.

we just found out our 7 year old daughter has underdeveloped gray matter in her brain. is this perminant or is it something that can be improved?

Exercise brain: Children's brains are extremely adaptable and very frequently if one part of brain injured or deficient, other parts of  brain can be trained to do that task, espeically in kids. Thus, she may never get "more" gray matter, but you can totally expand the capabilites of the gray matter she does have! you have to train it like athletes train muscles, though, so start working on areas she has needs!

what problems can occur with being born wihout gray matter in brain? i just got word of it from parents, and never heard of it before- they just told me. i am not sure if all of its gone or partial, but either way - whats the probems that can occur?

i have abnormality in the frontal lobe of my brain and i read bipolar can cause that. and i am convinced that is what the problem is. and it says i loose gray matter everytime i go manic. would it get worse in time? what will happen to me in the long?

Not enough info: Not sure what you mean by "white and grey brain matter disorder".  Grey matter is basically where brain cell bodies (neurons) are, and white matter is mainly the cables (axons) connecting neurons.  Sounds like you had an MRI and need to talk with your doctor about what it shows - "white and grey brain matter disorder" is too vague and doesn't tell me anything useful.
