Not necessarily.: It's pretty common for beards to gray faster than scalp hair, but early graying of the beard is not a reliable predictor of early graying of scalp hair.

Don't know.: It can be used to treat/control  psoriasis &amp; 
seborrheic dermatitis. Some people say they apply it to gray hair - but I don't know if it is effective or not. First thing to know is that genetics plays the biggest role in early graying- we can't change our genetics. To reduce risks of early graying &amp; hair loss:  1. Don't Smoke. 2. Nothing!: Some men get grey hair earlier than others and the beard can be the first to turn grey. It does not mean anything negative health wise!

: The cause is aging and genetics. Talk to other men in your family about what age they noted this. Do a family tree and you can see if early graying runs in your family m, or gallops. And is inherited or not. If not discuss with Dr who can examine and test you.

Genetics: Usually this is a genetic trait.  Your mom or dad might have had some early greying.  If it bothers you, and you want to grow out a beard, there are some hair coloring products that are designed for beards and facial hair.  There isn't any way i know of to turn the grey hair back to it's original color permanently.

Reasons to gray: Early. 1. Genetics. 2. Age 3. Stressors. The age of initial graying is largely a matter of genetics. However stressors such as nutritional deficiencies, traumatic head injuries, low vitamin B levels, zinc deficiency, severe illness, surgery and marked emotional stress may impact earlier depigmentation in people who are already predisposed to gray hair. In general – genetics plays the biggest role.

A common example is patients who have cancer where their chemotherapy causes severe hair damage. Think of chronic illness as a process that accelerates aging. Focusing on a healthy diet with routine vitamin supplementation is probably the best thing one can do in this situation.
