Gout!: My personal doc is Clinoril (sulindac). It has less GI side effects than the historically used Colchicine (taken until symptoms resolve or GI upset). As a secondary, I am happy using Prednisone for those sensitive to nsaids.

Allupurinol: You should first be evaluated for your gout.  A rheumatologist is the best to evaluate this condition.  There are several medications but the long range medication to prevent acute gouty attacks is allopurinol.
