Urethritis: Ceftriaxone shots are the most effective treatment now for Gonorrhea. And, you should be not contagious forty eight hours after the shot. Doxycycline is not the most effective way to treat chlamydia, and it may take seven or so days for this drug to be effective enough.

It should still work: A normal healthy person drinking a couple of alcoholic drinks should see no change in the effectiveness of her antibiotics. Haven't heard of any research studies looking into what happens when a specific larger number of alcoholic drinks is combined with gonorrhea therapy... but it's best not to do any heavy drinking anyway.

It might: It might turn up positive if the antibiotics given were ineffective due to bacterial resistance. That is why it is important to return for follow up testing.

2 separate: These are different germs with differing sensitivities to antibiotics. Two types of antibiotics are usually required.Clarification of your status and exclusion of other treatable STD'd is part of the regular workup.
