Scratchy throat: If the claritin is chronic medication for you try switching to zyrtec or benadryl (diphenhydramine) just to see if there is a difference as long as you have no contraindications. This could also be reflux or reaction fron your asthma medication. If it doesnt prove see your primary physician

why does my throat gurgle at night when lying down?

Throat gurgling: Your throat "gurgles" when the airway partially obstructs during sleep; the lining of your throat may narrow and mucus flowing creates turbulent "gurgles". If you experience restless sleep or wake up tired frequently, you may not be resting well.

been a few years, constantly clearing throat. prob not pnd because it's usually relieved when lying down. worse w/ cold temps, indoors, exercise.?

Sometimes reflux: I wouldn't rule out PND just because you're better when laying down.  Allergies, mild asthma, and reflux frequently cause these symptoms.  It takes months of reflux treatment to see a difference.  Would recommend seeing ent, getting a good exam after a thorough and specific history of the problem.

Several possibles: H question is relatively broad and it requires more information and certainly an examination and testing. The possibilities range from fluid in the long because of a heart problem to anxiety panic attacks. Age dependency helps to guide what it might be.Gastroesophageal reflux is a common cause as it is early heart failure and asthma as well. C an MD for accurate diagnosis.

2 possibilitres: At night in a supine position, you may have significant post-nasal drainage from your nose or sinuses (rule out allergy).  A second possibility is gerd.  That is, reflux of acid from the stomach, so called LPR (laryngeal-pharyngeal reflux.  The reflux of acid can go from the upper esophagus into the throat and cause your symptoms.  
See and ENT doctor.

i can only get deep breath on exhale, forcing a yawn, or reaching down throat. lying down is worse. docs say there's enough co2 in system. what's up?

Your question is not: Clear to me . From what i understand , you have problem of breathing particularly in lying position called orthopnea . The relation between breathing problem and level of co2 is interrelated .  If you have shortness of breath due to  air way obstruction as in COPD or asthma , your co2 level could be elevated dangerously high and make you confused

Duplication cyst: Could be an esophageal duplication cyst (or any one of several other conditions).  You need an examination by your doctor and (possibly) an x-ray

i have severe dry eyes & throat only when lying down. not just during sleep, just when laying horizontal. am fine again soon after sitting up. why?

Lag and Sjogrens: There is a condition called lagophthalmos that you may want to read up on that can cause the dry eye symptoms. Mouth breathing and Sjögren's syndrome needs to be examined as well. You  need to visit your ophthalmologist to see if these conditions are part of the cause of your constellation of symptoms.

Unsure: COVID 19 Sx's  may include fever, cough, feeling tired, shortness of breath, muscle aches, headache, sore throat, chills, chest pain, nasal congestion, loss of taste or smell, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea. Get urgent care for difficulty breathing, blue lips, persistent chest pain/ pressure or new onset confusion.

Seasonal flu: is very common viral infection. Usually the condition resolves on its own with home care. Antibiotics do not help. Drink water and get a good rest. NSAIDs (e.g. Aleve, Advil) or Tylenol (acetaminophen) are also recommended every 6 hours. If concerned, see your PCP for examination.
