It has fairly good evidence for helping cerebral insufficiency, dementia, generalized anxiety disorder and schizophrenia, however more research is needed to determine an effective dose and risks vs benefits.

Dosage : It is my understanding that there is no set dose of this supplement perhaps because the FDA isn't required to study supplements. Ginko: One of Ginko's main effect is to improve circulation by inhibiting platelet-activating factor (PAF).  This improves circulation and this is what improves memory for some people.  Ginkgo can thin the blood enough to cause bleeding.  People who have heart attacks and get thrombolytics are more at risk for brain hemorrhage.

None, really: Unfortunately, there are no well designed studies that show benefit from natural remedies for tinnitus.  Lipofkavenoids have been looked at there are 2 or three poorly designed small studies that sow some benefit.  First thing first.  You need an ENT to look inside the ear and test you to determine the cause of the tinnitus. Some types can be fixed.

Used for two differ: ent things. St. Johns Wort is a mild antidepressant and works to calm the nervous system, whereas ginkgo biloba is a mental stimulant. So you wouldn't want to use both together or it may negate each others effects. Speak to your doctor to determine which one you may need now to help with symptoms that are more prevalent. Do you want to be more anxious, or more calm? Two different feelings.
