my baby is 4weeks old. how many drops of colic drops are required and since im breastfeeding how many ml of milk must i pump for the required dosage ?

?????????????????: Since I have no idea what you are calling colic drops or what they contain I can't recommend them. I never found they did much in 4 decades of taking care of infants. They give you something to do, but beyond that I don't find them of value.

Breastfeeding: A diet recommended by the department of agriculture's food triangle is excellent.Junk foods and sodas are not recommended.

Nursing: Continue to nurse, at at least a 30 degree angle, avoid over feeding, burp mid and after the feeding. If the baby is feeding to quickly, slow the feeding. Monitor temperature and continue to use infant colic remedies.

In limited quantity: Panado Medsip contains a pain reliever, caffeine and vitamin C. The pain reliever and vitamin C are perfectly safe to take while breastfeeding. Caffeine appears in breastmilk rapidly after maternal ingestion. Fussiness, jitteriness and poor sleep patterns have been observed in mothers ingesting more than 200mg daily. Each Panado sachet contains 50 mg. Do not take more than 4 daily.

hello, i want to change my baby's formula from similac to morinaga bf. she does not breastfeed at all. she sometimes faces colic pains as well. is it ok to change? she is currently on cow milk at home?

: The post has unanswered questions. How old ? Why is the kid on whole milk if the milk protein is identical to Simalac? Any FDA approved formula is better than cow milk for small infants. Could be: Simethicone drops can cause either diarrhea or constipation. However, breastfed exclusively babies also can have less frequent stools going up to 2 weeks without having a bowel movement.

i have had this flu for 4 weeks. i had my baby 1 week ago now breastfeeding. my symptoms seems to get worse no matter what i do. i tried sinupret, demazin, octavin, loads of steaming, nebulizer and lots of honey, lemon, ginger hot water. ?

Cough: 4 weeks is quite a long time for this to persist. If you can contact a primary care provider you can discuss safe options for lung examination and other possible prescription options, that might help. Meanwhile stay well hydrated.

Yes: Absolutely. Keep doing whatever activity you did before or start a new regimen. Make sure to get adequate calories in your diet (you are feeding two now) and plenty of fluids and rest.

Persistence!: Fill a pitcher of water and set it next to your breastfeeding spot with a glass.  Drink a glass of water every time you sit down to nurse.  Be sure to get pillows you need to position the baby to the breast, rather than hunching down to the baby to nurse.  I'm so happy you are doing this for your baby! This is the best gift a mother can give!
