To prevent them make sure you drink lots of water.  Cranberry pills keep bacteria from sticking to the walls of your bladder - so in some cases taking 2 pills 3 times daily with tons of water can knock an infection out however if your symptoms do not improve you need antibiotics.

Not the drug of: Choice, I use generic Cipro (ciprofloxacin) or Levaquin if no allergies  works well and usually only need 5 days and there are many other ones you can use please call your doc or go to urgent visit center.
