Symptoms : You can often gauge this based on your symptoms. Everybody's recovery is different but in general when you have stopped vomiting and stools have returned to normal with the ability to eat then you have recovered. Bloating and gas may be a problem with eating in the recovery phase.

Stay well hydrated : And can use acetaminophen as needed, however if new symptoms as vomiting occur, you want to be seen by your doctor before using any drugs to stop vomiting, wish you and your baby wellness

Yogurt : Yogurt, fluids, avoid cheese and other dairy products, bananas and rice may help. Avoid over the counter medications that contain aspirin. Good hand washing and wiping surfaces with a disinfectant advised.

Lots of causes: Infection, malabsorption, lactose intolerance, there is even an entity called toddler's diarrhea.  Until you get to a doctor and get it sorted out, avoid sweetened beverages like juice and sports drinks.  Avoid foods with high fructose corn syrup. They act as laxatives. Fiber supplements can bulk up the stool.  Increase fat in diet with items like whole milk or peanut butter can decrease diarrhea.

Let me explain: It depends on which virus is causing your stomach flu.
With norovirus,  the most common you’re contagious from the moment you begin to feel ill. Although you typically feel better after a day or two, you’re contagious for at least three days after you’ve recovered.

Yes: If you are not having fevers anymore, you are most likely not contagious. The diarrhea is probably just residual from the infection. That being said, be sure to let your girlfriend know so that she can be aware of the (small) risk of getting it. Hope this helps!
