why am i burping after taking panadol?

: There are many side effects of Panadol but none mention burping. Some are bloody or black stools and urine. Fever, red spots, rash, hives,  sore throat weakness and many more but not burping.

Need to examine: Any abnormal bleeding needs to be evaluated. It may be as simple as a fissure or hemorrhoids but even that could result in anemia. It would be prudent to see your doctor. do i have ibs? i've had diarrhea for 2 wks interrupted 4 3 days by constipation. i have sharp pain in the lar. int/stomach area + gassiness/belching.

You could but...: You could have IBS but I suggest you see your doctor to rule out any other causes for your symptoms.  Other causes include infection, inflammatory bowel disease, or even possibly a ulcer.  Good luck.

hida scan ef is 46%, but i still have waking in the night with diarrhea, nausea and vomiting occasionally, along with mild ruq pain, gassiness and bad tasting burps. is this ef borderline?

HIDA: A hida scan with cck stimulation can measure  gallbladder ejection fraction with the normal range between 35 and 75 percent. If lower than 35 percent this may lead to gallbladder-related pain and removing the gallbladder can be considered.  You may have something else going on and your gastroenterologist should be able to figure this out.  Go back and insist on discussing.

Gastritis : You may have esophagitis or gastritis. Try an H2 antagonist like Tagamet and if no improvement occurs in a week change to a PPI such as Nexium. However with the symptoms you describe the best advice I can give you is to see a physician ,have an examination to reach a definitive diagnosis. Good Luck

Exam/US: Your symptoms are suggestive of gallbladder disease ( stones or inflammation ). See your physician for medication and ultrasound imaging-ASAP!! Try using OTC Nexium (esomeprazole) and Mylanta until seen and evaluated.

Stomach/ gallbladder: Could be related to hydration status or diet. Ulcers, gastroesophogeal reflux or gallstones/gallbladder problems can all act like this. Adding probiotics to diet May be beneficial, but a physical  by a Dr and obtaining  history of you/family would help. If stomach or gallbladder problems run in the family, it could be that. An ultrasound of the gallbladder and checking blood/ urine would help too.

See her OB  : If she is not passing any gas, she may have a bowel obstruction. If no bowel obstruction, she can try some crystallized ginger. Please make sure she is not becoming more bloated or has increasing pain.

Mgt: I would advise keeping well hydrated, checking your temperature and eating small portions. Sleep with more than one pillow, try Prilosec OTC as directed and avoid heavy meals/caffeine/alcohol. Please follow up with your physician if the symptoms worsen or persist. The flu can take a few weeks to resolve.
