You should already: Be recovered, could be from your other medical problems please call your pcp as u need a workup for these problems which may not be related to the c-section.

Good question: If your condition allows for you to be awake, and the obstetrician does not need too put you to sleep for other surgical reasons, the spinal gives you the advantage of appreciating to process of birth. On the other hand, your well being and that of your baby are top priority so discuss this with your doctor. When i delivered babies i used to joke with the parents that the birth was the easy part.

Simethicone: Simethicone is a popular antigas medication. If you are ot able to pass gas at all or have a bowel movement you should seek immediate attention. This can be a sign of a problem called an ileus. If you are passing some gas or stool then simethicone, increase water intake and increasing walking and movement often help.

Oral: Most patients do well with a Dilaudid patient controlled analgesia (pca), or morphine.  Both those medications can be given as IV push as well.
