i have a bag for gallbladder drainage..  why is it light light yellow almost clear sometimes.. then heavy yellow greenish other times.. even brownish ?

Bile: The liver makes bile and usually stores it in the gall bladder.  The bag is now collecting that bile which can be green or brown.

No: Unless you have infection or fluid buildup in your stomach called as cites.

should i see a doctor? i have had cough, pain in right upper chest for the past 11 days. had diarrhea at beginning, but thought i was having gallbladder problems. i have cut down on eating and have drainage that tastes bad.

Yes: Best would be to see your doc, who is aware of your past medical history and can put together the right plan for you. Among others, pneumonia appears possible and as such has to be addressed timely.

Gallbladder surgery: Unlikely the bloody stool is directly related to the gallbladder removal; however, you may be having some straining/constipation related to narcotic pain medicine, and have hemorrhoidal problems.  I would discuss this with your surgeon during your post operative followup appointment.

No : Bleeding is not normal , most likely not related will clear in few days, speak to your gyn  doctor and go for examination., to make sure you are ok.

Call ur surgeon: This could b sign on infection. U may need antibiotics or perhaps drainage. Need to call ur surgeon today.

No: A gallbaldder condition would not "leak" through the belly button. If you are having pain and problems from gsllstones see a doctor for a referral to a general surgeon to discuss gallbladder surgery.

i had my gall bladder out on the 30th aug this year i how have a vert smelly yellow discharge doctors gave me flucloxacilln but still discharging so went to day and saw the surgeon who says its a infection and given me more tablets , but the doctors nurse

Need another MD: If you have a postoperative infection following a cholecystectomy and are prescribed the same antibiotic you were taking without cultures or imaging studies to determine extent of disease you should request a second opinion.

i have drainages after complicated gall bladder surgery, been two weeks, i m hurting upper right, middle &back. is this because of drainages?

See your surgeon: Its hard to give you a precise answer without knowing the details of your surgery, however 2 weeks is longer than usual to have drains in after gallbladder surgery unless you have a bile leak of some sort. The leakage of bile into your abdomen could also be contributing to your pain. It is important that you notify your surgeon and follow up with him/her for proper evaluation.

A good sign : Your  primary care,  surgeon and anesthesiologist  are being careful. Checking the right pre  op tests.  Gallbladder surgery is seldom urgent   let them do a thorough evaluation of the ekg abnormality .  If there are real cardiac issues, that should be addressed prior to an elective surgery.  If the cardiac tests  come out ok, you can have a safe operation.
