Viral exanthem: This could be a viral rash, but you can't discount other possible causes exanthems can be caused by toxins or drugs, microorganisms, or can result from autoimmune disease.  It could be related to the flu shot, but not necessarily.  

A visit to the medical doctor could be warranted here.

i given amoxicillin when my mono was misdiagnosed as strep. i now have a full body and extremely itchy rash. i am on prednisone. relief from itching?

Prednisone: Prednisone should cover it honestly, if you want something else to see if it will help, take Benadryl (diphenhydramine) 50mg every six hours as needed as well. Follow up with your doctor next week regardless.

Unlikely: A pink, measles-like rash can occur and is more likely if one takes the medicines Ampicillin or Amoxicillin for a throat infection.  This occurs usually when one is actively infected with the virus (ebv). 3 months is a long time and so most likely unrelated. Best thing to do is to have it checked.

Depends : Some people get a spotty rash like what you described when they are nervous or flushed.   Others might get the same kind of rash with changes in temperature.

Doctor can examine: Rashes are hard to describe in words. Usually, a doctor has to look at a rash to decide on a cause. For common rashes such as eczema, mild reactions to plants or chemicals (the soap?), excessive dryness, or little itchy bumps, the doctor may recommend over-the-counter cortisone cream two or three times a day for 1 week. For fungal infections like t. Versicolor, selenium shampoo may be recommended.

Rash: It is almost impossible for us here on health tap to tell what the rash is because we can't see it.  We also don't know what OTC or prescription medication to recommend  for this rash.  Your best bet is to go to the doctor and get specific treatment for this rash.

Answers to questions like timing, duration , shape of the lesions, flat or raised , scaly or greasy, tenderness, medications are some of the clues that can provide clues.

See a dermatologist: It is difficult to make a proper diagnosis since I am not there to see the condition. I recommend seeing a dermatologist so that they can make a proper diagnosis and give you something to get rid of the condition or relieve symptoms.
