Possibly from meds: Various antibiotics are notorious for causing stomach upsets. Check with dr who prescribed them. Probiotics, such as tactobacillus may help to restore normal bowel flora which may have been destroyed by antibiotics & be cause of your stomach upset.

See answer: If you truly have a kidney infection (fever, chills, flank/abdominal pain) supported by an abnormal urinalysis and a positive urine culture and are on the appropriate antibiotic (based on urine culture results), symptoms should significantly improve by the third to fifth day of treatment. Certainly, other problems could be responsible for "stomach" pains including the antibiotic itself. Notify md.

: Your first source of guidance is your PCP who gave you Bactrim-DS. Most Urinary infections can be adequately treated with 3 days of antibiotics. So you have one more day to go with either full dose or you can reduce the dose depending on the nature of your stomach issues!.
