Keratosis: Flat tan lesions usually are benign keratoses. Keep an eye for changes in it. Most likely nothing to worry about.

i'm 50 year old female 9 year breast cancer survivor. i'm cancer free.my dr wants me on a good vitimen i bought alive it's b12 is 100 mcg.

No effect: Without a family history of breast cancer the chance is high that you are cured of your cancer. This has not been due to the influence of any vitamin.  Cause is environmental with a high possibility  due to  MMTV with or without EBV.   Incidence of breast cancer recurring is 1% per year for 15 yrs   Yearly exam still important.  Any multi vitamin will do but have no effect on your disease.

i take tegretol (seizure free!) and my dr wants me to switch to topamax (topiramate) to stop side effects.  is topamax (topiramate) as effective in fully preventing seizures?

Yes, but: Both drugs have potential adverse effects, and you should realize that the topamax (topiramate) will be effective, but when meds are switched, there is risk of withdrawal seizures.  Also, the side effects include cognitive and speech issues, narrow angle glaucoma, metabolic acidosis, risk of heat stroke, kidney stones, pins and needles parenthesis, drowsiness.

why don't dr test free t3 (liothyronine) and free t4 when testing thyroid? this is how you accurately diagnose thyroid prob? right

TSH is key: If it is just a simple screening of your thyroid function, doing a TSH is the most sensitive test for picking up problems. If the TSH is abnormal, then the free T3 (liothyronine) and T4 are performed to further clarify what type of problem exists with the thyroid. If the TSH is normal, then a T3 (liothyronine) and T4 are not usually performed.

Free light chains: ... (FLC) is a sensitive test for a group of disorders involving abnormal plasma cells. These are the B lymphocytes which normally make our antibody proteins. An abnormal growth of a "clone" of these cells, whether benign or malignant, may increase the FLC or show a "monoclonal" peak on related immunological tests. Myeloma is the most severe form, but generally presents with other symptoms.

dr my free t4 is 1.03 and tsh is 3.18 normal between .1 to 4.8 shown in result. i want to clarify i am having hypothyroid or hyperthyroid?

Neither: Hi. Maybe I'm missing yor point. You have a normal TSH and a normal free T4, and you're wondering if you're hypothyroid or hyperthyroid? You left out the correct answer...normal thyroid. Normal is normal. That sounds trite, doesn't it?! But true. Normal thyroid function is normal, not hypo, not hyper, but normal. If I'm missing the point, please clarify. Good luck!

Mostly: If you use clean shavers and stick to your own without borrowing them,  it is pretty much safe.  There is a risk in those with very curly hair that close shaving may cause the hair to grow into the skin causing focal pustules and diffuse acne.   There is no harm in having the hairs cut off by shaving except perhaps under the taliban.
