Tylenol (acetaminophen) or acetomino: Tylenol (acetaminophen) or  acetominiphen woud be fine and over the counter NSAIDs like  ibuprofen and naproxen at  your  age  should have  very low  risks. These questions are  best asked to your physicians.

It depend on the age: Kids usually handle pain very good so we give Motrin , adult need some thing stronger like vicodin.

Tylenol (acetaminophen) or motrin: either is fine.  sometimes Motrin can cause stomach upset so take with food.  might be worth seeing at therapist or your doctor; ie is your pain related to a muscular imbalance or something not bone related that can be modified.

Hypnosis: I learned hypnosis from a psychologist who had suffered from a back injury and was told that there was nothing the doctors could do beyond pain meds. She was missing work for weeks at a time till she learned hypnosis find a psychologist and learn to use self hypnosis for pain and insomnia.

How old?: If the injury is brand new, cold applications and elevation of the leg are used for 24to48 hours or as long as swelling is present. If there is no evidence of bleeding, antiinflammatories like ibuprofen(if you can take them) may reduce pain and swelling tylenol (acetaminophen) can also be used and doesn't worsen bleeding. Otherwise prescription pain relievers are used for pain relief.

Gabapentin: This medication can take up to two weeks before you notice anything. 300mg dose is standard but you didn't mention how often you take it. If u take it only once a day you may want to talk to your dr about upping the dose. This medication can make you sleepy.
