Bladder infection: Foul-smelling urine can come from a bladder infection or even from certain foods that we eat. Stds do not usually effect the bladder and i wouldn't think they are responsible for the foul-smelling urine. More than likely it is from a bladder infection. Vaginal infections can sometimes have an odor as well and may be difficult to distinguish from odor caused by urine.

Unlikely: Neither high calcium nor levo. Will cause foul odor. Most common cause of dark, strong urine is dehydration. You should be drinking minimum of 100 ounces of fluids/day or enough to keep urine color fairly clear, not only to help lower calcium but to prevent kidney stones . Other causes of foul urine are UTI and certain foods and meds. A urinalysis and culture can determine if UTI present.

: If UA  shows no infection then the most common causes of odor in urine are foods and lack of water intake. Avoid too much, garlic onion, spices, asparagus. fish and such foods and drink 5-6 glasses of water a day. You will smell the difference!. Wish you well.

Burn a Match: If you think you have a urinary tract infection (like a bladder infection) then you have two choices: go to an ER or Urgent Care (preferred) or stick it out and see if the smell goes away but see your doctor in a week anyways just to make sure. Nothing OTC will do much for you. They all talk about cranberries but I don't think much of that except at Thanksgiving-- with turkey.

Not per se: Aluminum itself does not give off odor, but can combine with the odor of body fluids.

: Asparagus can give a very strong odor to the urine, but I'm not sure about sushi. However fish in general can cause smelly urine.  Either way your urine odor didn't signify any kidney pathology.

Possible but...: Any chemical may carry its unique odor after mixing with natural vaginal fluid which even varies among individuals; it's of no exception for replens. So, to verify your concern, it's no harm to smell the area with using it or with using simple KY jelly or without using it so you can smell the difference and draw a conclusion.

It : It sounds like the person in question would benefit from a urinalysis. This need to be done in a doctor's office. Things like ketones, protein, glucose, white blood cells, etc. Are measured. 
Often times a chemical odor or fruity odor can indicate ketosis which can be caused by diabetes or a very low carb diet. However, it is very diffucult to say without an evaluation.

: Its possible. Also what else did you eat with the Sushi, spices , vegetables can also make your Urine smell, If it happeend once and then was back  to Normal I would not panic.
