Not if they don't: You can't get a fungal infection from someone's feet unless they have a fungal infection on their feet. You can't catch what someone doesn't have.

Yes: Athletes foot, or a fungal infection can be caught by direct contact. Both you and your husband need to be treated to eradicate the fungus, as well as the tiles in the bathroom to prevent reinfection. Lamisil (terbinafine) is an o/c antifungal cream. If it is resistant to non - prescription see a doctor for prescription antifungals.

Can't say: She may have stepped into something that triggered the response or have a sensitivity from the nerves within the feet. An exam would be needed to sort this out if then.

Itching feet: Sounds like 9have a case of athletes foot.  First try some over the counter anti-fungal meds.  Vicks to the feet twice daily has also been shown to work.  If no improvement in 2 weeks consult a podiatrist or dermatologist

Rubbing alcohol: Not a good idea - likely you will inflame and irritate more. Better to use an over-the-counter anti-yeast cream and keep the area super-dry

Soothing: He probably finds this behavior comforting. As long as you can stop the movement by holding his feet, and he is otherwise healthy, i wouldn't worry too much about it. He could also be itchy-check for any rashes.

Synovitis: I can think of inflammation in one of the joints in the ball of your foot as the most likely cause.  Duration, wether you are better in shoes or not, and the type of pain are also helpful in making the diagnosis.  You should contact your orthopaedic surgeon to be sure.

Irritating: Vick's chest rub can be irritating to young lungs and at time has triggered wheezing. Room humidification is a better option for infants.

Not at all: Blisters from friction will fill with a serrous fluid. Pus can form if they become infected. Smaller blisters should be left intact so as to not allow them to become infected. If they do tear open apply antibiotic ointment and a sterile bandage. If they do not resolve in a week or so be sure to see your doctor. If you do see pus, they are already infected, and you should see a doc much sooner.
