I would: Nutrition labels of a variety of food products are now required to provide a visible listing of any content of the most common 8 foods known to cause allergic events. If they have found a loophole to sell a product without such disclosure, I would avoid the product. The alternative is taking the risk of a food reaction to what may be a minor or unexpected additive.

have several med allergies, & celiac. i'm neg for food allergies, but still feel i'd be more prone than most to them. should i avoid allergenic foods?

Not necessarily: What do you consider allergenic foods? If you have Celiac disease, it is important to have a gluten free diet, other than that you should have a mixed diet.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

could someone with a food allergy possibly breathe something they are allergic to and have a reaction with hives? my son is allergic to something so we have been avoiding a lot of the most common allergens but is still breaking out in hives.

Allergist: Finding the cause of recurrent hives is very elusive and in these cases an allergist is best qualified to do the investigation. The offending agent could be internal or external including temperature change, exercise, etc. While waiting for the allergist's appointment, the pediatrician may prescribe an antihistamine for symptom relief.

Complex: It all depends on which nuts you are allergic to since one does not usually become allergic  to all nuts.  If you are allergic to almond, you will need to find out whether the almond flavor is synthetic or from the actual nut.

Yes: The guidelines that are published for evaluation and treatment of food allergies do not recommend testing without a prior reaction/symptoms after eating.  If you have never had any problems with a specific food, avoiding them proactively would be unneccessary.  I do admire your desire to be proactive though.

Depends: If you have pots and have symptoms from food allergies that can worsen fatigue or change your fluid balance, the impact will be negative but mostly related to symptoms.  If you are asking if food allergies could cause pots, not likely.  I assume you mean igg food allergies, not emergent ige allergies.

No: Food allergy can present at any times in your life. Eating certain foods everyday does not increase your risk of getting allergy to that particular food. Instead, you have a higher risk of getting food allergy if you have other atopic diseases like allergic rhinitis, asthma, urticaria, eczema, and other food allergies....
