Multiple reasons: If you were hospitalized for 2 weeks, it could have led to a stressed stomach causing some inflammation. Also decreased mobility in a hospital environment can contribute to that. Increasing exercise as much as you can, eating healthy food and doing an antacid for a week like famotidine or omeprazole otc can also help. Adding probiotics can also help.

Gastroenteritis: Sounds like food poisoning/gastroenteritis.  Try to keep up with fluids (half Gatorade and half water) along with bland diet.  Most of these things get better on their own; however, if vomiting and diarrhea persistsyou will need to see your doctor for tests and/or IV fluids.

Sulphur smell: That type of flatulence often comes from sulphur containing foods like eggs and certain vegetables. If you can't pinpoint the offending foods in your case,try taking activated charcoal products. Also reduce intestinal gas by avoiding air swallowing or making yourself burp. Lactose intolerance causes excessive gas also. Taking probiotics help some people with this complaint.
