Avoid milk products: Avoid milk, cheese, cream, ice cream (but yogart is ok) for 3 days.  When you have diarrhea, the lining of the bowel that digests milk is lost and lactose becomes a laxative.

Depends on type of: Food poisoning. Toxic type poisoning, e.g. From staphylococcal toxin are usually self limited, those due to infection vary in their course. If you have had diarrhea for three or more days, it would be prudent to see your doctor. You may try an anti-motility over the counter drug such as immodium. See this site for more info.

There : There are no safe medications for young children with vomiting and diarrhea.  Medicines such as immodium have been shown to make diarrhea last longer that it would with no medicine.  The most important thing you can do is make sure he stays hydrated with the illness runs its course.

Things you can do for him are:

-do not give juice (which can worsen diarrhea) but give oral rehydration solutions such as pedialyte. 
-continue a regular diet 
-watch for diaper rash 
-change diapers frequently and use a barrier diaper cream

call your child's doctor if:

-the diarrhea lasts longer than 7 days 
-for blood or mucus in the stool 
-fever 
-signs of dehydration such as no urine in 8 hours, dry, cracked lips, doughy skin, no tears, sunken eyes, irritability or lethargy.

: If the flareup is causing many watery BM's You may have to take some imodium temporarily to bring it under control. Drink adequate room temperature fluids. Avoid high  fodmap foods. If you don't know what they are, google." Fodmap diet"

There : There are two primary reasons that you may have food poisoning:  bacterial contamination due to failure to wash the lettuce properly (several months ago there was a nationwide episode of this due to lettuce that was contaminated) or bad caesar salad dressing due to the eggs in the mix.  Keep hydrated and if this does not pass in 24 hours seek medical care.

Why you taking the: Z-pack? Was it prescribed by a doctor? The flu is a virus. A z-pack is an antibiotic and is only helpful for a bacterial infection. It will not help a virus, but it can give you diarrhea. If it was prescribed by a doctor talk to them before deciding if you should stop the z-pack. If it was not prescribed by a doctor then stop the z-pack and don't self medicate with antibiotics in the future.

Intolerance: I would regard this as a specific gastrointestinal intolerance to those vegetables in your case. High water content or some diuretic property in those foods probably explains the associated urinary frequency.

Colitis: You must be examined, preferably by a gastroenterologist, as you could have ulcerative colitis and/or an invasive type of intestinal infection.
