Effective: Anticoagulation is effective however options are limited in pregnancy. Anticoagulation reduces risk of abnormal clotting in most, however does not eliminate the risk.

Yes but...: Yes but nothing is perfect. We always have to weigh risk vs benefit. If we are aggressive with anticoagulant  you are unlikely to have clots. If too aggressive you could bleed. So the proper dosing with close monitoring  is required.

Drug interaction: When you take more than one drug you do have an interaction. Simvastatin and coumadin (warfarin) are very often given together. Though now with newer blood thinners less coumadin (warfarin) is being used. Studies have shown that some statins increase risk and some decrease risk of bleeding.  So if you have no increased signs of bruising and bleeding you may be still okay.

Some are more of a problem than others and it is an individual response so you and your team need to give them all a try till you find one (or more) that don’t give you the problem.  As salt plays a key role in many with high blood pressure consider moving to the DASH eating plan.

Turmeric: I wouldn't trust turmeric to shrink your fibroids- although the herb is reputed to be anti inflammatory. There are animal studies that show an effect. I think it's better to see a gyn or talk with your primary doc to manage. There shouldn't be any interaction with iron pills. Why not try to get some of that iron through the diet? - dark green veggies, raisins, prunes, dark chocolate etc..take care

Should be OK.: Theoretically correct, but practically incorrect.  Menstruating women use ibuprofen ( and other similar medications ) for cramps.  Motrin is frequently used for many aches and pains associated with minor bleeding.
