i accidentally sprayed little flonase in my right eye. i rinsed with luke warm water, and put my dry eye drops. is this going to be ok? thank you much?

NoHarmIfYouWashedEye: If you washed your eye with water immediately there will be no harm.If you did ot wash you ay have mild reaction and will clear up by itself
If it is ichy and red consult your doctor.A small amount will not cause much reaction

does flonase work for eye allergies?

: Flonase is an OTC steroid spray used for relieving allergic rhinitis (nasal) symptoms. It is not indicated for eye allergies, but in theory it could help a little, but there are better drugs for eye allergies.

i take flonase for sinus but left side still feels pressure that's goes to my eye and head. really uncomfortable. cause? what can i do?

Sinusitis: If Flonase hasn't relieved the symptoms, you may have a blocked sinus and need to see a physician. Osteopathic physicians can sometimes  check to see if it is related to poor motion within the facial bones from an injury as well as prescribe antibiotics if it is an infection.

my eyes have swollen shut, after going outside on 3 occasions lately. i take zyrtec regularly. use flonase as prescribed. tried claritin (loratadine). what now?

See an allergist: You can try a few more antihistamines, but it appears that you are failiing medications.  You should follow up with a board certified allergist.

i've been taking flonase for a week my eyes keep twitching is there a connection? what are possible reasons for eye twitching?

Eye twitching: I'm an ENT and I've never heard of nasal steroid spray causing this, but that doesn't mean it's not possible - just very unlikely.  Eye twitching can be due to nervousness, vitamin or mineral deficiency (like calcium or Vit. D), nervous tic, 'blepharospasm,' or a neurologic condition.  It might just be transient spasms that go away without good reason.  A neurologist can resolve it.

Accepted Answer

No: These side effects are not usually attributed of Flonase or withdrawal from Flonase.

can flonase cause a floater in your eye?. or is allergies more likely the cause of it?.  i've just started having issues with allergies this year.

Accepted Answer

Not expected: A few small floaters may be ok but if you are noticing new ones popping up or large ones coming on, you need to call your eye doctor immediately. Allergy per se is not associated with floaters and unless you have overdosed on Flonase, systemic effect is not expected. If you have high myopia and are noticing floaters, an eye exam is also called for ASAP.

i have severe dry eyes from sjogrens i also have allergies i find zyrtec (cetirizine) way to drying. does flonase have the same drying effect as other allergy meds?

Accepted Answer

No: It is a corticosteroid and it will  help the allergies as it is antiinflammatory. It does not drying like the antihistamines. You can discuss this  with your physician.

my daughter has yellow gook in her eyes and they are also watery. she does have allergies which she takes flonase and an inhaler for! is the yellow discharge caused by allergies as welll? and if so what can i give her?

Accepted Answer

Antihistamine: Although discharge from allergies is usually clear/watery, there can be some yellow/thicker appearance to it.  Both eyes is more suggestive of allergy than infection.  Consider over the counter antihistamine like zyrtec or Claritin (loratadine) for children.  If it worsens, or the lids are matted together then an antibiotic drop may be needed.  If the allergies cont. To bother, antihistamine drops can be rx'd.
