At night:  Best try one or two in bedtime . It depends on your tolerance because some people get very sleepy from it. That is why it is best to take it before you go to bed night. You have to give it a chance to clarify your pain, help your sleep, and help decrease the pain sensations.some people will not tolerate 10 mg at bedtime, but you can start at five and then slowly increase it to the 10 and see how

can you take small dose of flexeril with ambien (zolpidem) for fibromyalgia pain?

Not recommended: to mix cyclobenzaprine, a sedating medicine, with a sleep hypnotic.  The sedating effects will potentiate (multiply) each other and you would have a hard time functioning during the daytime.  Please talk with your pain specialist about using something else not sedating for your fibromyalgia.

i am on flexeril but i am almost out and my script isn't due yet so i have had to cut my dose down from 30mg a day to 10mg a day but i have been having withdrawal symptoms im also on gabapentin should the gabapentin help with the flexeril withdrawals?

: Well, I am a physician myself. I have been on Flexeril and Gabapentine. You have to slowly wean down on Flexeril then gabapentine. You will go thru withdrawal, fasciculation spasms. I take mag ox 400 mg daily

: Taking both of these simultaneously would be redundant as both are muscle relaxants. We often prescribe muscle relaxant along with an anti-inflammatory medication like ibuprofen or naproxen if the patient has muscular pain and tightness or spasm.

: Yes, you will be okay, but you may feel weak, drowsy, or dizzy over the following six hours. Avoid driving or critical tasks during those six hours. Do not take more than 30mg total in 24 hours.

i took two 5mg pills of flexeril within an hour and a half. is that going to cause any bad effects?

Likely no problem: The 5 mg pill was developed to avoid the side effect of drowsiness with the 10 mg pill.  So, you will likely be mildly sedated and drowsy.  Don't drive, use power equipment, do any tasks requiring good balance, ingest alcohol, and after about 8 hrs, should return to baseline.

: They are both central nervous system depressants and therapy has to be monitored tightly as they are still used in practice together for limited periods of time.
