can humans catch fleas from pets? can they nest in your hair and what not?

Yes, you definitely: can get fleas from a pet altho fleas prefer furry animals.  Flea bites in people tend to occur in hidden areas like the groin, waistline and folds in skin &amp; are treated with steroids &amp; antihistamines. If you have bites or itching in your scalp, it's more likely head lice or scalp ringworm.  If your pet has fleas, the pet &amp; its environment need to be treated.  Your vet can give u more info.

Yes, it's possible: Public lice (crabs) have their favorite spots, and their less-favorite places. They prefer pubic hair, armpit hair, beards, moustaches, and eyebrows... over scalp hair. However, they can grab onto scalp and be found there. If the eggs are very white, and "bugs" are on the scalp, those are likely head lice. The treatment is the same type of medication (such as Nix).

Fleas: Wash everything fleas touch w hot water ; dry on high heat. Vacuum house several times.Empty vacuum bag outdoors ; put disposable bag in 2nd sealable bag in outdoor trash can. Spray corners, carpets etc with food grade diatomaceous earth or a natural flea spray. You can use 1%.

Flea infestation: Flea infestation of human hair is usually not difficult to eradicate by shampooing and conditioning the hair.  Leaving the conditioner on the hair for 15-20 minutes should effectively smother the fleas on the head.  Treating fleas in the home and yard is more difficult without chemical treatment, but some have found diatomaceous earth powder and frequent vacuuming helpful in reducing numbers.

Yes: Flea bites may be clustered into 3 itchy bumps that bleed ; blanch (turn white) when you press on them. They tend to be found at skin folds (breast or groin) ; folds of joints (ankle, knee, elbow, axilla) as well as legs. A rash ; swelling can occur as well as secondary infection from scratching. A skin biopsy is sometimes needed for accurate diagnosis.

Little bugs.: This can be very frustration, and I certainly feel for your distress. Have you tried prescription medication and have you seen your physician?  If you manage to find one or many of these insects, please capture them put them in a bag and deliver them to your physician.
