At night, diphenhidramine (benedryl) works well for the itch; don't use it during the day.

Depends: If that flea carried plague and you got sick I can see that that bite could be a problem.However, we don't see plague in this country and your average flea bite is just a nuisance, not a threat to you or baby.

Not really: They are completely different organisms, so they are not the same. However, clinically, when you look at the marks they make on the skin, they may be similar. Only if you catch one of the bugs while they are biting, and send it to pathology or your dermatologist, will you know for sure. They look different under a microscope. Good luck.
