Yes: Many dentists recommend this. Personally, i think it&#x27;s better to have a dentist re-cement it back asap. I find some patients either end up swallowing it or have it break if not seated properly or if it dislodges. If you needed it for a front tooth for a short while it should be ok, but be careful.

Maybe zinc poisoning: As you know well, fixodent is a denture adhesive, and gentle glue which holds the denture in place, but not sticking to the gum.  There have been report of zinc toxicity from excessive zinc being absorbed causing some nerve damage, but i believe procter-gamble had the formulation re-done to reduce this possibility. Other than that, fixodent is quite safe..Consult doc. Good luck.

Fixodent products: I doubt there is much, if any difference between the holding power of all the fixodent products. I believe it is more about application plus other properties. You can call the company to inquire about the differences: please call 1-800-214-8871.

Difficult problem: Lower dentures are very unstable.  Ask your dentist about an implant supported denture.

Ingredients: Read the label. That depends upon where and when the fixodent was manufactered. I believe this was an issue some time ago, but resolved.

how much time will fixodent hold a temporary crown?

1day-1week: Denture adhesive is a great way to keep a temporary crown in place if there is no access to a dentist. 
It will still dislodge, though, with eating any food that is hard or sticky.  There is danger of swallowing or dislodging at night. And it won't prevent decay from developing if the temporary crown is on too long.
Best bet while traveling is to see a local dentist to recement the temporary crown

Possible neurologiic: Though not proven it is thought to cause possible neurologic damage.

Accepted Answer

: No. Fixodent is for dentures. You'll need to see your orthodontist to rebond any brackets.

Filaments in uine: probably a concentrated urine.
