Give it a try: The problem is getting them to actually take it! :-) if you can actually get the kid to ingest it, i recommend a trial of fish oil for most with autism. Although more research is needed, some research suggests modest benefits from fish oil, and no evidence of any harm. In general, fish oil and a multivitamin (+/- iron depending on constipation) are a good idea for most kids with autism.

Nothing helpful : Research studies have not shown effectiveness in treating behavioral problems with fish oils.  There is a tiny beneficial effect in adhd, but not enough to discontinue stimulant medication.

Fish oil: Yes.  Fish oil is safe, however eating fish eg wild salmon is the best way to obtain fish oil (omega 3s) for the body.

No Answer: To my knowledge, there is no research in children demonstrating consistant improvement of anything by adding fish oil. It is all theoretical, thus there is no standard dose.

Goal: Of therapy after an mi is to bring the LDL down to less than 70. If the tg is too high, you can't even know your ldl. We do give omega-3 for tg, the benefit in later studies show that you have to take at least a dose of the range of 4gm a day. Antiplatelets and bblockers should be continued along with statin to lower LDL and smooth out the arteries.

Fish oil: Fish oil is very safe, if you make sure the company distills and purifies its products to be free of heavy metals like mercury and other contaminants.  Research the companies. Sounds ok: If a person has taken the fish oil supplements in the past without any side effects, and if he has been drinking milk without getting problems, then he should be able to take the fish oil supplements with the milk and not expect any problems. There should not be any unusual reaction between the fish oil supplements and the milk.

daily 900mg epa,600mg dha fish oil, +500mg turmeric together. am currently mixing bulk fish oil with turmeric and keeping in fridge. ends up being around 2200mg fish oil and 500mg of turmeric daily. any problems with this?
will they chemically react?
