THIRD DEGREE BURN: THIRD DEGREE BURN, is when the injury caused damage to the deeper layers resulting in blisters  and eventual rupture. You need to be examined and the severity assessed . I usually will start a topical antibiotic like SILVADENE and an oral antibiotic like CEFTIN (cefuroxime). Depending on severity a consult with a BURN SPECIALIST OR PLASTIC SURGEON MAY BE WARRANTED.

Dermatologist: You most likely have dyshidrotic eczema which can be intensely itchy and also often involves the soles of the feet. This condition is best validated and treated by a dermatologist. In the meantime use cold compresses to reduce itching and also prevent the skin from drying out by applying moisturizers which can be recommended by your pharmacist.

i burned 3 of my fingers by accidentally putting my hand on a coil stovetop burner. this was about 4-5 hours ago. the burned skin is white, not blistering. im also still experiencing quite painful burning sensation in my fingers. what should i do?

: Place the area that is burned under cold running water immediately. This will help take the heat out of the tissue slowing the destruction of soft tissue by the heat. If blisters form use antibiotic Ointment

: Herpetic whitlow usually causes an abscess type reaction in the volar finger pulp with pain and a very tense distal finger. Not blisters ,so i question the diagnosis, and herpetic whitlow does not transfer infection by simple contact

Bandaid:  and tape maybe best. A glove might also be helpful.  Also taking an antiviral medication to help heal faster is an option.

Metabolic can be a nutrition deficiency, changes in  metabolic control or balance (like diabetes), or a toxin like heavy metals
