Maybe: You can get viral eye infections.  warm moist cloth to hold on the eye with help with symptoms.  the mucous coming from the eye can spread infection so cloth used for that eye should not be used elsewhere.  Good hand cleaning is also important.  If the mucous or redness gets worse, he should be rechecked.

See a physician : Please see a doctor,  you may need some testes for enlarged lymph nodes  fever and joint swelling   You may have infection mononucleosis but full examination and investigations is needed

Either: Tylenol (acetaminophen) is an antipyretic so it is helpful with fever. Ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory  and  addresses both fever and inflammation. With stubborn fevers people often alternate tylenol (acetaminophen) (every 4 hours) and Ibuprofen (can be taken every 6 hours). Some people find one works better than the other for them. Be sure you are drinking well when taking ibuprofen.

Fever.: Cure the underlying illness.  Fever is just a symptom.   It does not necessarily need to be treated. If he is miserable with his fever you can use an anti inflammatory med or Acetaminophen or a combination of both ( as you are doing) with the goal of making him feel better.  If fever is due to a virus there is generally nothing but tincture of time to break the fever.

: Yes, fever is the most common symptom of Covid-19 infection. You can take either Tylenol or Motrin for fever, sore throat and body ache but you should not take both together. However, you can take them alternatively if you want, 6 hours apart as needed. If you take Ibuprofen 200 mg OTC, you should take 2 tablets at a time with full stomach. Dose by weight.: Both medications are dosed by the weight of the child. The liquid forms come with eyedroppers that clearly show the ml to be given: tylenol= 1.2 ml, advil= 1.875 ml for your 18 pound child. Hope he/she feels better soon!
