why do some ppl tend to get chills being hot-cold-hot-cold before they get a fever if ever do

When feeling hot, the body is wanting to cool off (the brain is telling you that you are hotter than the brain wants you to be). When feeling cold, the body is wanting to get warmer and maybe have a fever (the brain is telling you that it wants you to be hotter, maybe even feverishly hotter).

hi, i am about 6 1/2 weeks now. while i dont have fever i do get chills everynow and then,especially while in bed.i dont get cold just the chills.

Sometimes the stimulus from the area of the brain (hypothalamus) that serves as the body thermostat creates chilling to increase the body temp by muscular activity and he may have developed fever later after the chills.
