If there is infectio: If there is infection with the injury it can cause fever - especially if there is infection of bones called osteomyelitis it is worrisome and needed a long term antibiotic treatment.

Visit the ER: if you are having a fever and pain you need to visit a physician, it can be in the ER or your primary physician, but do it as soon as possible, the wound can be infected and get complicated really fast.

Could be: due to some inflammatory reaction to certain movement that you did. Try talking over the counter pain  reliever if you are not allergic to them. If not better you need to see a physician.
