Not really known: There are many varieties sold at stores when one goes shopping for chamomile tea. If one chooses a simple, natural tea that doesn't have other additives in it, then is should be as fine to drink as any other regular, natural tea. It is extremely unlikely that any of the teas have been tested for effectiveness in helping any medical condition, so any claims of teas being helpful are just claims.

Decaf. GT is good.: No, green tea is favorable for gerd, together with a healthy diet and lifestyle. Decaffeinated green tea is superior for gerd relief, as caffeine may promote
reflux symptoms in some patients. Japanese consume
about 3 cups of green tea/day providing roughly 240-320
mg of polyphenols, the major one being egcg (epigallocatechin-3-gallate).
Most studies are done for
cancer- and neuroprotection.

GERD: I would talk to my Doctor about a different medication if yours is NT helping.  But the candies alone are probably not bad.

Maybe: It's not the peach flavoring that would be a problem. The caffeine in any tea reduces the strength your gastro-esophageal  junction has to close/prevent reflux. Consuming this in moderation/not reclining after consumption may negate any adverse effect.

GERD ; Caffeine: Yes. Of course. Caffeine is one of the products that causes the esophageal sphincter to be loose or more open allowing more acid to wash up into the esophagus.

i have gerd and i'm trying to find something other than 1% milk, tea, coffee, and water to drink. it can't have caffeine, carbonation, or citric acid?

DGL is used to: help with acid reflux and is safe.  If you take licorice that is not DGL, over time it can raise your blood pressure.  Please consult w/your doc.  Peace and good health.  You can drink a VARIETY of teas.  There are many tasty Chinese teas that are loose and inexpensive.  peace and good health.

Two questions here: Both caffeine and stressors are known to exacerbate cardiac tachyarrhythmias and peptic symptoms.  Get evaluated please, but also drop the caffeinated drinks, now.

gave up diet soda and have ibs and gerd.  am
on 60 mg dexilant (dexlansoprazole) . can i get heartburn from drinking iced tea? and i take my pill at night .

GERD : Good for you for giving up diet sodas! It is possible to have worse reflux from iced tea, but it is usually from the caffeine in the tea. If you're drinking caffeine free tea, it usually does not make GERD worse.  As for the DexIlant, (dexlansoprazole)  is best to take it 20 to 30 minutes before a meal. I would not recommend taking it at bedtime. Good luck.
