please tell me if it is common for a child who has been abused to grow up feeling detached from his family?

Many problems!: Cild abuse is an awful problem -- impacting on family , child, siblings, everyone.  Abused children not only can have emotional problems, they can even have growth and developmental issues.  Their self esteem, independence and ability to make friends and trust people all can be significantly effected.  Often, many years of therapy is needed to help unravel the severe psychological impact of abuse.

Need real diagnosis: Your symptoms may or may not have a medical basis but 2 important medical problems should be considered and ruled out: 1) atypical presentation of a migraine probably abdominal but could be head and 2) a seizure disorder. If you are taking recreational drugs, this could be a cause as well  You definitely need to see a doctor soon for a definitive diagnosis.
