A bug?: Have a friend or use a mirror to examine the scalp. The nervous system is very sensitive. If you feel something crawling there probably is something crawling.

Formication or bugs?: Formication is the sense that something is crawling on your skin. It has many possible causes: menopause, Morgellon's Disease, allergies, skin cancer, syphilis, diabetic neuropathy, Lyme Disease, Herpes Zoster, pesticide exposure, mercury poisoning, alcohol withdrawal, medication /drug use such as: amphetamines, cocaine, Adderall or Ritalin (methylphenidate).

Nerve: If there is no lesion or discoloration evident then more than likely there is an irritable/mildly irritated superficial nerve in the skin of your nasal area which is the culprit. However, avoid applying cosmetics, etc to this area and see if this harmless symptom resolves.

It is unusual to find bites to the scalp. The sensation of crawling in hair is rare for bedbugs but very common for head lice. Nits (eggs) are tiny, easy to miss. Head lice are easily treated. See doctor for proper diagnosis.

: Could be a variety of things. Lice, mites, ticks or even no see ums can cause crawling sensations, itchiness, and irritated eyelash roots. Best course of action would be to see a Dr in person who can inspect the various areas and identify a cause. That same Dr can also prescribe the appropriate course of treatment with prescription medication.

Irritation?: There coukd e sensitive nerves which cause disconfort. After evaluation if the skin looks normal and there are no underlying medical problems such as diabetes or thyroid issues, intralesional steroids Lidocaine may give you relief.
