Formication if not: parasites. Formication is the sense that something is crawling on your skin. It has many possible causes: menopause, Morgellon's Disease, allergies, skin cancer, syphilis, diabetic neuropathy, Lyme Disease, Herpes Zoster, pesticide exposure, mercury poisoning, alcohol withdrawal, medication /drug use such as: amphetamines, cocaine, Adderall or Ritalin (methylphenidate).

This can't be: Diagnosed via the internet. However there are many different causes for formication (sensation like insects crawling on or under your skin). It can in fact be from parasites or other diseases/ conditions. Please seek medical evaluation if this continues.

Neuralgia: this may be neuralgia, often caused by cervical (neck) arthritis. I would check with your local neurologist

my son had a little black speck stuck to the side of face. i scraped it off and it didn't look like a bug. would i be able to tell if it was a tick?

A tick bite??: I doubt it very much that it was a tick, if it was attached to the skin you would have seen, now you scraped off it is more difficult to tell. Talk to  your doctor.  If you're  worried  about tick bite &amp; Lyme disease your pediatrician can test him for it. Good luck

Maybe not bugs: This doesn&#x27;t sound like bug bites, which usually don&#x27;t result in whiteheads. Other possibilities depend on exact locasion. Acne seems likely and apparently is on your mind, based on chosen topic tags. However, clustered blister-like or pimple-like skin bumps often are herpes, especially near lips or on the face of a child. Contact your son&#x27;s doctor and for sure don&#x27;t pop them (can spread herpes).

Probably dryness: The facial scrub probably removed oil from your skin, which protects the skin from becoming dehydrated.  Scrubs that contain alcohol can be particularly problematic.  It may also be that your skin is sensitive to something in the scrub.  You may wish to try a different scrub, or you can consider applying a thin layer of a moisturiser, baby oil or petroleum jelly after using the scrub.
