Go back to your: doctor and/or the ER. You may need some lab work and you should have a follow-up exam if your symptoms are continuing.

Evaluation: You may not be drinking enough for your body is one possible reason.  You can also go to your doctor to be evaluated for other possible reasons.

Activity?: So you may be doing a bunch of activities that are dehydrating, and you need the additional water.  Or you may not have enough electrolytes - start drinking 1/4 of your fluids as gatoraid, poweraid, etc.
Sometimes this can herald an illness, such as diabetes.  It would be best to discuss this with your doctor, who may order some tests to rule out certain illnesses.  Good luck!

Why ?: Pedialyte is designed to meet the hydration needs of infants. Adults can get the same benefit from other less expensive products like Gatorade when diluted with water, or just normal fluids as part of balanced nutrition. Nausea can reflect many issues, some simple &amp; some deadly.A doctor visit for a good workup would be smarter than self diagnosis &amp; treatment.

my dr told me im dehydrated and need gatorade vs water.i already drink lots of water. i don't like all the sugar.how do i rehydrate without the sugar?

Need more info: Everything depends on what you mean by "lots of water". Did the doctor do nay blood tests? Normal water intake daily should be about 70 ounces of water daily unless you like in a very warm climate where you may need more water intake.If your water intake meets those requirements then please consult with a nephrologist, a doctor who deals with the chemistry of the kidney.

Pain options: Please continue or see your doctor.  Please do what doc says but take a look at massage and perhaps a comp/alternative practitioner like a Chinese medicine doc or a natural doc. Two factors: First, it is possible to become dehydrated overnight.  Second, one's mouth can become dry from mouth-breathing; this might be due to nasal obstruction.  Chronic nasal obstruction might be due to allergies or it could be due to one's anatomy.
