i have four subcutaneous lumps ons my lower back. they are red and not painful. they are small and. one seems to be deep on the skin ore body fat?

Subcutaneous Bumps: Without seeing the lesions it is very difficult to make a diagnosis. The lesions could be epidermoid cysts, lipomas which are fatty rumors, cystic acne lesions or even minor infections.

lower back swelling/lump near sacral area. showed it physically to 2 surgeons, one said normal another said its just fat deposits. but problem is when i poop, that area feels tight, & smtyms it feels burning and hot on the skin(not deep). pls help?

: Lower back lump and tightness and burning there when you poop are not related and might be co incidental. If two surgeons told you that there is nothing very abnormal then you should be reassured.

Large lumps: in the back can be anything like cyst, lipoma, carbuncle. It is not likely to have any relationship to the stomach cramps. See a doctor

Simple vs serious: Our bodies always have things that grow and change. Skin, fat, muscle, lymph nodes,  bones, can change shape, get larger, more prominent due to many factors. The vast majority are not cancer but simply unusual growths like fatty tumors, cysts, skin tags, moles, etc.  Most cause no symptoms and can be watched.  If they cause symptoms or change colors, bleed, bruise or hurt, then see your doctor.

Infection?: Lumps that are painful could be bacterials infection. See doc for appropriate exam and prescription of oral antibiotics.Once i proved they need to be rechecked for any possible underlying issues.

Accepted Answer

It means: no abnormal findings that are new or that could have occurred in the near past.  This is in contrast to "chronic" or "old appearing" findings, which may be seen incidentally on xrays or other diagnostic imaging studies.

Lumps: Usually no cause for concern, especially if on both sides. Probably fatty tumors.

Lipoma : More likely than not they are lipomas or cysts. Unlikely to be cancerous but if they continue to enlarge or become more painful you should consult with your physician. Good luck.
