: Many common meds can cause a false positive for Opiates. these include: Dextromethorphan (cough syrup), Diphenhydramine (benadryl), Doxylamine (sleep aids), Tramadol (Ultram- pain reliever), Quietapine (seroquel- antidepressant), Levofloxacin/Ofloxacin (antibiotics). Your next step should be to have a confirmatory blood test which is more specific for each med.

None of the above: There are many false positives for all amphetamines, but not specifically methamphetamine. Proper drug testing goes beyond the screening test - if that is positive definitive testing should be done, which will eliminate essentially all false positives. Every cold medication around can give a positive amphetamine, but not a positive for methamphetamine.  You need to demand the definitive test.

We need to talk: As a pathologist, I would not accept this level as indicating codeine use. These assays generate background noise and low levels are to be expected when there&#x27;s been no drug ingestion. This is about a sixth of 300 ng/mL which is a common cutoff for codeine. The lab&#x27;s pathologist should agree or risk liability. I believe you&#x27;re clean. If someone else doesn&#x27;t, get a lawyer.

Codeine is an opiate: and therefore is tested for in many drug screens.  Suboxone is a combination of buprenorphine, an opiod medication, and naloxone an opiod/narcotic reverser. Buprenorphine is metabolized differently from methadone, heroin, etc. and if you are ONLY taking suboxone, the opiate test should be negative. So I can't explain your results. Discuss with your suboxone provider:)

Not likely: Most drug screens test for Cocaine and Codeine separately.  The test is specific for the individual metabolites of each substance.

Can't really: Well you can't prove it because that's an example of a true positive test result but from a legal/normal use of poppy.  Poppy seeds do actually have codeine in them, so there's no advanced test that will show there's no codeine in the urine, although requesting a "quantitative test" (more expensive) would demonstrate very low levels of urine codeine if just from poppy seeds to support your claim.

Depending: On how long you used it and how much probably 3-4 days. Couldn't you take a letter from your doc stating you had a prescription to use them??
