Some Centers have even reported conception rates when no viable products can be obtained rather than live baby rates. So, this was a question that you should have asked your provider BEFORE embarking on IVF.

It depends: The decision to use birth control pills prior to an ivf cycle should be individualized. Each persons situation is different. Some women are not affected by the pills and the pills may help with scheduling. Some women may be adversely affected by being on the pills and they should be avoided. And some women will do better in ivf after being on pills.

i ovulate/menstruate regularly every month. my re diagnosed me with pcos tendencies after 3 failed iuis. why has she put me on metformin?

Cycles: metformin has been associated with regular ovulation and weight loss in pcos patients.  Based on your history, I would look for other reasons for a failed IUI if your cycles and ovulations are normal.

i have really bad pain in my left ovary. i just had a failed iui and just finished my period 2 days ago. would this be from the fertility meds?

Possibly: Your ovaries may still be large from fertility medicines when multiple eggs were produced. Follow up with your physician if it continues to be very painful.

Wait : It is not unusual to have a changed cycle length of the cycle after ivf but it could be pregnancy.
