Scarring: Sunlight can cause darkening of the scar tissue.  If you are going outside be sure to apply high quality sunscreen to the skin for protection.  Applying vit e gel will also aid in healing.  Due to the depth of the scratches there may be some permanent scarring.

Keep it covered with an occlusive dressing changed every other day and avoid further trauma. It will heal very quickly.
