Platysma: The muscle over the chin is the platysma, whose action is to drop the chin and lower the jam.  Grimacing will exercise this muscle.

Physical Therapy: Ask your doctor (pmd, neurologist) for a physical therapy prescription.   You can try some one your own but i would recommend working with someone who can monitor your progress.  I'm not advocating any specific sites, but there are some examples on the internet.

Muscle weakness: headache, eye problems.  These are symptoms that need to be evaluated by your doctor.  Please see him/her asap.  Lyme &amp; Fibromyagia are a few of the possibilities.  Peace and good health.

See details: Increase your daily calories and carbohydrate consumption. Of course, you will gain weight everywhere else also. Gaining facial muscle is virtually impossible. My advise is to stop worrying and live a normal life.

Relax your mind: The face has many muscles.  Where are you holding tension?  Jaw?  Mouth? Forehead?  Eyebrows?  Two approaches i can think of. 1) tighten those same muscles on purpose, then release.  2) sit quietly, pay attention to your breathing until you calm down inside.

Tension: Oftentimes, we keep our stress in the back on our neck or shoulders and it creates unnecessary tension.  This prolonged tension will then cause the muscles to tighten and create the ripple.  I recommend routine massages or self massage with a backknobber to help alleviate the muscle tightness.

Mm tension HA, but..: This could be a muscle tension type headache, often caused by stress. But please read my prior answers regarding headache to more thorough discussion of difficulty in dx, etc. 'sharp', unilateral, sudden onset, doesn't sound like muscle tension. Once again, see primary care physician, have it treated according to what the doctor's impression is. But, persists more than 1-2 weeks, have further w/u.
