Difficult to know...: Without a formal exam, but if he has a bruise on the back of his head it is most likely from an injury as opposed to an infection.  "Bloodshot eye" may be unrelated to the bruise.  This may be due to him rubbing his eye, or possibly something irritating the eye.  He may have a pinguecula on his eye, but without seeing the "pimple" it is only a guess.  Best to have it evaluated by a Dr in person!

No. This worries me.: Your question sends up a red flag. If you see someone with a bruised face, and they say it is acne, that person is probably the victim of domestic violence. Get a couple of your friends together, read up on what to do, sit down and talk with that person, and see if you can help.

Acne: Acne scarring is common problems that teenagers have to deal with. Prescription retinol ointments and hormone supplements ( in case of female patients) help with healing.

Inflammation: Scratching or removing a pimple will trigger an inflammatory process of white blood cells. This will make the skin inflamed and red.

Bug bite? : This sounds like some kind of bug bite?  Where were you the day before you found this? How old is your daughter?  What kind of spiders do you see in your house?  Any spider bite could result in this kind of phenomena.  The key in evaluating for brown recluse which inhabit your state is followup.  If the child falls ill with fever and chills this week, have her evaluated!

Hands down: I agree, you should not have manipulated the pimple.  Next time, if the pimple is sore, try applying a warm cloth to the surface of the skin gently. A topical acne preparation like benzoyl peroxide would be helpful. The bruise will resolve in about a week. Bruises arise from the rupture of blood vessels beneath the skin. Prompt pressure and ice can minimize bruising just as they begin to form.

Contusion or bruise: The grayish mark is probably a bruise caused by a contusion even though it caused a lots of pimples to burst. There was probably bleeding in the muscle of the cheek.

Keep the area clean, and apply an antibiotic ointment until it is healed. If unresolved in a week, you should discuss this with your doctor.
