Could be nerves: A tic can be due to nerve issue.  It can be acquired or you are born with it.  If you have some mild eye lid spasm, on occasion dry eyes could be the cause of lid spasm.  Using moisture, heat pack and lid scrap with baby shampoo could help dry eyes and lid spasm.  But, tic or spasm could be nerve related, you may want to consult your doctor.

Too young for tics: Tics do not start at 3 months, usually not until 4-5 years old. I need more information to say what this is from but it may be an irritation of the eye or asymmetric face strength. Bring your baby to the doctor for an opinion.

Yes: It's called the optokinetic reflex if the eyes move, and recruitment if it's just the facial or eyelid muscles.  If you experience these effects, you're playing video games too long. If these occur with minimal playing time, you should visit your doctor.

i was not by a tic many years ago. a tic with a bulls eye appeared on my right side waist. i had thrown the tic away but later did go to my family practice doctor. he laughed at me and said there were no infectious tics in north dakota! help me?

That might be it.: Pediatric Neurologist can help. Some of them will see college-aged patients. Otherwise, a general Neurologist can help. Tics and Tourette Syndrome are sort of similar disorders, different degrees of severity. Unfortunately there hasn't been any good treatments, but maybe some new ones that Neurologists learn about before other doctors know about. Also, look up PANDAS (the disorder, not the bears).

having eye tics for more than 3 yrs now, occurrence is irregular,comes and goes.recently had jerkish movements while i am about to sleep, is it bad?

Probably not: Sporadic eye tics are generally not worrisome although if there are other symptoms you should be evaluation. Jerk-like movements, also known as myoclonus, while falling asleep is considered normal physiology. Again, if there are other things going on you should see your physician.

Yes: Tics can be a benign condition but with any new symptom or problem if you had not visited a doctor in the 2years since onset  a full exam and review of health status would be reassuring of the benign condition. This is an older age for the usually onset of tic disorders
